Driving Lessons - About your Driving
Instructor
Before taking driving lessons
with any driving school we recommend that you thoroughly check your instructors
ADI licence, which should always be on display in the left side of the tuition
car's windscreen.
If you are learning to drive in the Worcester area and
require help and advice with any aspect of learning to drive, please contact
Apex School of Motoring on 0800 849 6337.
About your Driving Instructor
This will have a photograph of
the instructor and an expiry date, only qualified driving instructors will
display a green licence. Trainee instructors will display a pink licence, also
with a photograph and an expiry date. This means that they have not passed all
the examinations to become a DSA Approved Driving Instructor and are still
undergoing training.
This could mean that you are not receiving the best
tuition available, even though you may be charged the same. If your instructor
does not display a green or pink licence he/she is not qualified and should not
be charging for lessons.
To become a Driving Instructor you need to pass
three exams, a written, driving and practical. Once your Instructor has passed
all three exams they are then a qualified instructor. After qualifying driving
instructors have to be check tested every 1 to 4 years. This is done by the DSA
Supervising Examiner (ADI) sitting in the back of the car while the instructor
is giving a driving lesson. |
